We’re in the Antioquia region, where I escape from Medellin for two days to discover the very pleasant village of Jardin. On the way back, I take this photo out of the bus window.
In South America, the street is a place of life like any other, and why not a space of freedom where almost anything goes? At the end of my trip here in Colombia, I had fun with it, but imagine my surprise on the first day of my arrival in Guayaquil, Ecuador, when I could have taken the same photo with a baby instead of a dog, or rather the bag of groceries! The Peruvians and Colombians take the prize for «road unsafety» as seen through our prism… It has to be said that their roads are some of the most curvy. But good humor comes first, as this picture shows. You could say: in France, the dog would have worn a mini motorcycle helmet and it would have been just as much fun!
